History of AEC [Indias] Ltd.

The Comp. was Incorporated as a Private Ltd Comp. in the name of M/s AEC Erectors Pvt.Ltd on 9th August 1982. Its name was subsequently changed to AEC [Indias] Pvt. limited On 12th June 1986 & then converted into a Public Ltd Company, it obtained a fresh certificate of incorporated dated 5th December 1986. The Comp. is a part of AEC group of which Agricultural Engineering Comp. is the oldest concern. Agricultural Engineering Comp. established in 1932 hold the distribution of being the first distributors of Kirloskar Engineering Products in Northern India.

The Comp. is headed by its chairman and Managing Director Mr R D Apte who has 32 years of experience in the line of Marketing & Projects of Pumps and Electricals. The day to day management is looked after by Managing Director Mr Sanjeev Apte. He has considerable experience in turnkey projects speically of pumping stations & has promoted the Turnkey Projects Division in the AEC group. The Comp. has expertised in the field of Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Cross country pipeline jobs and undertakes and executes integrated projects. The project division of comapany undertakes extensive work in the following fields like water supply schemes, effluent treatment & Environmental protection, Industrial Electrification and Power projects and cross country pipelines.

The Comp. has entered into a technical and financial collaboration with Ho Sung Co. limited of South Korea for setting up a 100% Export Oriented Unit of cotton dressings. To meet the requirements for setting up this project the Board of Directors decided to issue shares to the shareholders at a premium of Rs.15/- per share.

Under this project the Comp. proposes to undertake manufacture of various types of Cotton Dressing like cotton Bandages, Crepe Bandages Plaster of Paris bandages and Surgical cotton.
