HISTORY OF THE COMPANY Aircommand Airtechincs is engaged in the manufacture of Airconditioners. Company registered office is & plant both are in Baroda. The Comp. is negotiating with the Baroda-based Aircommand group for sourcing its air-conditioners & then marketing them under the Godrej brandname. According to industry sources, Godrej-GE is keen on buying the portable air-conditioners Aircommand Airtechnics Ltd will make at its Baroda plant.

Aircommand Airtechnics, which went public some time back, of 1993, will have an installed capacity of over three lakh window & portable air-conditioners. Production is expected to begin in mid-1994.

The Comp. has a tie-up with Godrej for marketing companies products. But the tieup may remain one of convenience because Aircommand is not keen on tying up the entire production with Godrej. The Comp. will manufacture portable airconditioners. The plant has the largest licensed capacity of 3,50,000 units in India. Japan largest industrial conglomerate, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, is the technical collaborator for group flagship company, Aircommand India, manufacturing spilt airconditioners.
