History of Akash Agro Industries Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 7th February, 1991 under the name & style of Topaz Oils Private Limited with the Registrar of Companies, Gujarat, at Ahmedabad. Thereafter the name of Comp. was changed to Akash Oils Private Limited & a fresh certificate of incorporation was issued on 03-11-1992. It was then converted into a public limited company under the name of Akash Agro Industries Limited on the 8th January, 1993. The promoters experience in the line of processing edible oil gave them the impetus to start their own industry from the date of incorporation. Accordingly they started implementing the project for refining of edible oil with a capacity of 30 tonnes per day In December, 1992. The project was completed at a cost of 64.55 lacs & was put into stream in April, 1993. The edible oil of Comp. is sold under the brand name 'Aarti', which has been well accepted by the market. The Comp. has already applied for registration of its brand name 'Aarti', & the approval of Trade Mark Authorities is pending.
