History of Allied Resins and Chemicals Ltd.

Allied Resins and Chemicals Ltd., was promoted in 1959 as a Private Ltd., Co. The plant was set up in technical collabortion with M/s. Borden [UKs] chemicals & was a pioneering venture. Over the next two decades, the Comp. diversified its activities to become a multi-product chemical enterprise. It became a Public Limited Comp. in 1967. The profitability of Comp. started declining towards late seventies & it suffered a serious setback in early eighties when the Comp. turned into a sick unit & was on the verge of luqiidation following suits filed in the courts by its bankers for recovery of their dues. It was at that time in 1983 that a new Management was inducted under a compromise settlement & the ownership of Comp. was transferred to the present Management headed by Shri. Suraj Ratan Mundhra & his family.

The Comp. was promoted in 1959. The Comp. changed hands in 1983 & was taken over the present promoter Shri. S.R. Mundhra, who was earlier trding in leather chemicals.

The Comp. is currently engaged in the manufacture of Formaldehyde, pentaerythitol, Hexamine, UF Resins & PF Resins [Liquids] which are mainly used in plywood, leather, paints & explosive industries.
