History of Ambuja Zinc Ltd.

The Comp. was originally incorporated as Golden Flour Mills Private Limited on 17th June 1987, at Patna. In 1989 the Comp. for established a unit [Bihar Electro Metalss] for recovery of Zinc from zinc ash. The Zinc recovery Unit was registered as SSI unit in March, 1989.

The Comp. was converted into a Public Limited Comp. & the name was changed to Ambuja Zinc Ltd.w.e.f.ie., 01.11.91. The change in the name & constitution has been recorded by various concerned & registered with SIA vide acknowledgement No.1431/SIA/IMO/91 dated 03.10.91. The Comp. commenced commercial operations from 15/04/91.
