History of Amines and Plasticizers Ltd.

India Carbons limited [ICLs], conceived the idea of setting up a Plant at Thane, Maharashtra for manufacture of ethanolamines viz., Monoethanolamine, diethanolamine, as these products are based on one of down-stream products of NOCIL petrochemical complex at Thane.

ICL also obtained a COB license in December 1970 for manufacture of 3000 tonnes of plasticizers [DOP-Di-Octyl phthalates] per annum.
