History of Amison Foods Ltd.

Amisons Food s limited was incorporated in the year 1987 as a private limited Comp. with the object of manufacturing /processing & export of frozen & canned marine foods. Tthe Comp. was converted intoo a public limited Comp. in November 1992 & the revised certificate of incorporation obtained from Registrar of companies, Kerala.

The Comp. at present is having a processing plant at Edacochin which is about 6kms from Cochin, Kerala with a processing capacity of 8395 MT per annum. Also, at Edacochin in Cochin, it has an ice & cold storage plant with a cold storage capacity of 250 tonnes & ice production capacity of 15 tonnes per day.

The Comp. is promoted by Mr A H M Babu ,the chairman & managing director of company.

2000 - The Comp. has informed that the Bureau for industrial & Financial Reconstruction has registered it as a sick Comp. under Sick Industrial Companies [Special Provisionss] Act, 1985, under registration No.32/2000.
