History of Amrit Banaspati Comp. Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 28th March, 1985 as a Public Limited Comp. & obtained certificate of commencement of business on 31st July, 1985 from the Registrar of Companies, Punjab, H.P. and Chandigarh.

The Comp. had been engaged in the business of trading in edible oils. In the year 1993, the Comp. diversified its activities & started manufacturing HDPE containers at the plant located at Rajpura for packaging purposes. The project for manufacture of HOPE container was put up by Comp. in February 1993 & the commercial operations were started in April, 1993. The machinery [second hands] for HOPE plant has been taken on lease by Comp. for total amount of Rs. 10 lacs payable over a period of 5 years. The premises for HOPE project have also been taken on rent. The HDPE Containers [Packagings] Unit is a small scale unit having capacity to process 200 tonnes of plastic granules annually. The Comp. has further diversified its activities & has set up a plant to manufacture Vanaspati & Refind Oils at Abohar, Distt. Ferozepur, Punjab.
