History of Apcotex Industries Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1986 - The Comp. was incorporated as a private limited Comp. which was converted into a deemed public limited Comp. with effect from May 12, 1988. The main object of Comp. is to manufacture & trade in wide variety of synthetic rubber and lattices used in the Tyre, Paper, Textile & carpet industries & synthetic rubber used in footwear industry.

1990 - The Comp. took over Apcotex Division of Asian Paints. The Comp. manufactures Vinyl Pyridine Latex, an important raw material for Tyre industry at Taloja, Maharashtra in technical collaboration with Chemische Werke Huls [CWHs].

1995 - The Comp. has undertaken expansion of capacities to manufacture 10,000 MT of Synthetic Rubber from the existing 1500 MT at a cost of Rs 30 crores.

- Apcotex Financial Services limited is the subsidiary of Company.

1997 - 4,76,071 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 105 per share allotted to the shareholders holding odd lots below 50 shares for converting odd lot in to market lot. 5,00,000 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a prem. of Rs 105 per share allotted to the promoters through firm allotment. 14,400 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 105 per share allotted to the employees of company. 1,09,550 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a prem. of Rs 105 per share allotted to the public.
