The Comp. is engaged in manufacture of UPVC pipes & fittings. It is well known that plastic systems have started progressively replacing conventional piping system like G.l., cast iron, asbestos cement, rubber hose etc., for a number of applications. Among plastic pipes, polyvinyl chloride [PVCs] pipes are most widely used all over the world on Acc. of extremely favourable balance of properties.

PVC pipes have been known for last 40 to 50 years. As a matter of fact, PVC Pipes can be considered as a development of world war II. After the war, the ruined German Cities had to be rebuilt. Conventional pipes couldn't be manufactured in the quantities required. German Scientists, therefore, turned to PVC pipes & mobilized the PVC pipe industry.

Aravali Pipes Limited was incorporated as Private Limited Comp. on 16/04/90 & was converted into a Public Limited Comp. on 31st March 1992. The Comp. commenced its commercial production of unplasticized PVC pipes & fittings in the year 1991 & has already completed & commissioned expansion scheme twice to increase its installed capacity to 6960 MT p.a. The Comp. now proposes to increase its installed capacity to 12600 MT p.a. The Comp. has obtained SIA registration No. 1607/SIA/IMO/92 dated 16/04/92 for its existing operations an SIA registration No. 1692/SIA/IMO/93 dated 07/06/93 for its proposed expansion in its division named `Ekta Plastics' at V and PO Ratera, Tehsil Bwanikhera, Dist. Bhiwani.

The Comp. achieved a turnover of Rs. 910.44 lacs, Rs. 1601.44 lacs & 1903.69 & 2011.13 lacs resulting in net profit after tax of Rs.27.11 lacs, Rs.29.67 lacs & Rs.38.05 & 56.67 lacs during the years 1991-91, 1992-93 & 1993-94 & for half year ending 30th Sept. 1994 respectively. The Net Worth of Comp. increased from Rs.69.50 lacs on 31/03/92 to Rs. 177.57 lacs as on 31/03/93 & reached Rs. 202.09 lacs as on 31/03/94 & Rs. 257.32 lacs as on 30/09/94.
