YEAR EVENTS 1962 - The Comp. was Incorporated on 3rd October, at Gujarat. The main object of Comp. is Cotton yarn spinning.

1964 - Another 6,400 No. of equity shares taken up by directors, etc. 1,25,000 No. of equity & 5,000 pref. shares offered at par to the public in November 1963.

1971 - 1,00,000 Bonus equity shares issued in the prop. 2:5.

1975 - 3,50,000 Bonus equity shares issued in the prop. 1:1.

1986 - The Comp. undertook the second phase of modernisation.

1987 - The workers went on strike from 14th July, to 2nd August. As a part of modernisation scheme, the Comp. installed one auto coner.

1988 - The Comp. undertook the third phase of modernisation.

1989 - The Comp. undertook modernisation programme including imported auto coners.

1990 - Two imported autocones winding machines were installed & two more such machines were being installed.

- 3,00,000 Bonus equity share issued in prop. 3:7.

1991 - The Comp. proposed to undertake two phase modernisation programme to be financed partly by financial institutions and partly from internal accruals.

1992 - 3,00,000 Bonus equity share issued in prop. 3:1.

1993 - 10,00,000 Bonus equity share allotted to promoters.

1994 - The Comp. proposed to invest Rs 1200 lakhs in modernisation and renovation programme. The Comp. set up a wind energy farm of 300 KW capacity comprising one wind mill at Lamba near Porbunder, Gujarat.

- In order to meet working capital requirements, the Company privately placed with UTI & IRBI 15% non-convertible debentures for Rs 150 lakhs.
