History of Asia Pacific Investment Trust Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1983 - The Comp. was incorporated on 30th August, & obtained the certificate for commencement of Business on 17th September. The Comp. has been promoted by Shri R. V. K. Raju. The Comp. has been engaged in Leasing and Hire Purchase business.

- The Comp. undertook to pool small personal savings in rural and urban areas & collectively invest them after careful research & analysis in profitable investment opportunities.

1992 - 7 shares submitted for by Signatories to the Memorandum of Associations. 39,99,993 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each issued for cash at par in January 1984 of which 15,99,993 shares received for allotment on a firm basis to promoters, directors etc. Balance 24,00,000 shares issued to the public.

1994 - The Asia Pacific Financial Services, Ltd., acquired 32% of the equity capital Nagarjuna Investment Trust Ltd., in terms of the agreement entered into between the companies. Accordingly 12,94,893 No. of equity shares at a price of Rs 17 per share was purchased.

- The name was changed to Asia Pacific Investment Trust Ltd., in May.

- The Comp. proposed to issue 4,00,000 rights equity shares at a premium of Rs 30 per share in proportion 1:1. It was also proposed to issue through Prospectus, 40,00,000 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each at a premium of Rs 30 per share as follows:

1995 - 14,16,000 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each allotted to promoters on preferential basis.
