History of Associated Stone Industries [Kotahs] Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1945 - The Comp. was incorporated on 17th January, 1945 at Ramganjmandi, Rajasthan. The Comp. acts as stone quarry operators & also has polishing factories. The products are sold under brandname `Kotah Stone'.

- The Comp. undertook to set up a new polishing factory & lime manufacturing plant of 100 tonnes capacity near Jhalawar Road Station [Shree Chatrapuras]. In this unit 50 polishing machines, 6 cutting machines & 3 repolishing machines were to be installed.

- The Comp. undertook to start a marble/granite processing unit at Udaipur. Licenses were received for import of steel shot gang saw for sawing granite block & high efficiency diamond multiple blade for sawing marble & orders for same were placed with a German firm.

1982 - In August one automatic marble cladding material manufacturing unit was received & it was installed & commissioned in Pasoond unit from 25th September.

1983 - Ramganjmandi Investments Ltd., became a wholly owned subsidiary of Comp. during the year.

1987 - The Comp. allotted 10,000-15% non-convertible debentures of Rs 100 each for Rs 100 lakhs to UTI by private placement. These debentures are redeemable on the expiry of 7 years from the date of allotment.

1992 - Hadoti Cement limited became subsidiary of Comp. with effect from 2nd November.

1994 - The Comp. commissioned its polishing unit at Silvassa without any cost overrun. The Comp. launched Kotah Stone which received good market response.

- 26,64,000 bonus shares issued in proportion 2:1. 15,98,400 share issued [prem. Rs 30 per sharess] to the existing shareholders on right basis in ratio of 2:5.

1995 - 6,48,257 No. of equity shares issued at par against warrants. Prerna Syntex limited was amalgamated with the Comp. pursuant to the order of Rajasthan High Court with effect from 1st April. Accordingly the Comp. allotted 3,85,716 No. of equity shares of Rs 10 each fully paid-up to the shareholders of erstwhile Prerna Syntex limited in the ratio of two equity shares of the Comp. for every seven equity shares of erstwhile Prerna Syntex Ltd.
