History of Dhampure Specialty Sugars Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 22.06.92 under the Companies Act, 1956 as a Private Limited Company, & subsequently became deemed Public Limited Comp. on 18.11.92 under section 43 [as] [1s] of Companies Act. 1956. The Comp. changed to a Public Limited Company w.e.f. 30.09.94.

On 27.7.92 the Comp. entered into an agreement with Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Trombay [BARCs] for transfer of technology for manufacture of Invert Sugar Syrup. As a result of this agreement, the Comp. received laboratory scale technology from BARC. The pilot plant with a capacity of 0.45 tpd was commissioned in April 1993, which successfully established the process parameters. The commercial scale plant of 5 tpd was commissioned on 17.9.94. This plant has now been scaled upto 10 tpd & is part of present project of 20 tpd capacity plant.

Present Business

The Comp. is presently engaged in setting up the Project for manufacture of Invert Sugar Syrup with a total installed capacity of 20 tpd [6000 tpas].
