History of Fidelity Finance Ltd.

FIDELITY FINANCE LIMITED is an existing profit making Comp. incorporated on 30.04.1983 as a Private Limited Company. The Comp. was promoted by Sri. Ashok Muthana & Smt. Leela Ratnam both members of TVS Family among others to carry on the business of Hire-purchase & leasing. The Comp. became a Public Limited Comp. on 15.06.1988. The Comp. is currently engaged primarily in the business of Hire Purchase & Fixed Deposit mobilisation with a small portfolio in Leasing.

The Comp. started with a paid-up share capital of Rs.5.00 lakhs which was increased to Rs.11.50 lakhs by 1987. The Comp. made a bonus issue of Rs.10.35 lakhs in December 1988. During the year 88-89 the Comp. allotted shares of Rs.32.15 lakhs to the directors, friends, relatives & associates thereby enhancing the capital to Rs.54.00 lakhs. During the year 90-91 the share capital was further raised by Rs.96 lakhs through a Rights Issue.

There is no other Comp. whether listed or not under the same management within the meaning of Section 370 [1Bs] of Companies Act.
