The Comp. was incorporated on 28th September, 1987, under the name and style of HMG Paper and Chemical Pvt. limited The Comp. was converted into a Public Ltd.Company on 16th March 1989. The name of Comp. was changed to HMG Industries limited on 27th November, 1989.

The Comp. took over as going concern all the assets at fair market value as assessed by Govt. approved valuers of following companies belonging to the group.
