History of Harshvardhan Chemicals and Minerals Ltd.

Harshvadhan Chemicals was incorporated in June 81 as a Private limited Comp. and converted into a Public limited Comp. in December 85.

It has been promoted by Mr. R S Rathore and MR. Ajit Singh who have been in the field of manufacture and trading of fertiliser for last 20 years.

The company, which began its operations by producing Single super Phosphate in 1986, later diversified into production of detergents. It is likely to set up a Rs. 600 crore diammonia phosphate plant and a Rs, 100 crore project to upgrade rock phosphates. The other project taken up by Comp. was the production of chemicals like sulphuric acid/oleum/cholorosulphuric acid. The project went on stream in beginning of 1992. It envisages a production of 55000 MT per annum of sulphuric acid, 5000 mtpa of oleum and 5000 mtpa of Chlorosulphuric acid. Another project of Comp. is setting up of DAP unit. The Comp. came out with Public Issue on April 21, 1986.
