History of Kedia Distilleries Ltd.

Kedia Distilleries Limited [KDLs] belongs to the 'Kedia Group' of Companies, which is one of leading Industrial Group of Madhya Pradesh. The Comp. was earlier known as Manju Rare Chemicals & Ferro Alloys Pvt. limited & it was converted into a Public Limited Comp. on 11.06.86 & its name was subsequently changed to its present name on 18.10.86. It is registered with the District Industries Centre [DICs] as an SSI Unit for manufacture of Indian Made Foreign Liquor [IMFLs]. KDL obtained the licence for manufacture of IMFL in 1984 & commenced commercial operations in 1986. The Comp. also manufactures & sells Rectified Spirit [RSs] & Extra Neutral Alcohol [ENAs] in lose form to other distilleries all over the country.

Shri K.P. Kedia, B.Com, aged about 48 years, is the Chairman of 'Kedia Group'. Shri Kedia started his business activities at the early age of 20 as a molasses trader and, later shifted his business interest to the liquor industry, by setting up the first distillery in 1969.
