History of Leela Packaging Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated as a private limited Comp. on 11th November 1987 for manufacture of flexible plastic packaging material viz. plastic carrier bags & HDPE/LDPE extruded films. The Company factory is situated at Plot No.50 Adarsh Nagar, Amravati Road, Wadi, Nagpur & the Comp. is presently engaged in the manufacture of HDPE/LDPE extruded industrial application films with an installed capacity of 480 tpa for end users like Mahananda Dairy, Tamil Nady Dairy limited R K Sweets, Maharashtra Explosives Ltd, Farm House Confectioneries Ltd, Tungabhadra Industries Ltd, Akola Oil Industries Ltd etc. The Comp. has been sanctioned term loans & working capital facilities by State Bank of India, MIDC, Hingna Branch, Nagpur, in order to meet increasing demand for its products, the Comp. has been getting its products manufactured on job work basis. The Comp. is also engaged in the trading of plastic carrier bags.

The Comp. was converted into a public limited Comp. on 3rd February 1992, as a consequence the name of Comp. changed to Leela Packaging limited.

The Comp. was promoted by Shri B B Maniyar, Late Shri R B Maniyar and Shri Kamalkishore B Maniyar.
