History of Lime Chemicals Ltd.

Lime Chemicals Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Company, on 17th October, 1970 & registered with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, Bombay. The Comp. was converted into Public Limited Comp. on 10th July, 1986.

Initially the Comp. was engaged in the production of Precipitated Calcium Carbonate. In 1981-82 & in 1986-87 the Comp. went for expansion & also for manufacture of additional products. viz. Activated Calcium Carbonate. The Company Plant is located at Roha, Dist. Raigadh, Maharashtra. The existing installed capacity of plant is 18,000 MT per annum. The Comp. manufactures the product. viz. Calcium Carbonate on indigenously, built technology that has varied applications in diverse industries like Tooth Paste, PVC, Cosmetics, Pharmaceuticals, Rubber Formulations, Paints, Printing Ink, Cables. etc.

MAIN OBJECTS

The main objects of Comp. as set out in the Memorandum & Articles of Association of Comp. are as follows :

1. To manufacture, buy, sell, refine, manipulate, import, export & deal in Precipitated & Activated chalk [Calcium Carbonates] & Anhydrous Carbonate & all kinds of allied products thereto.

2. To manufacture, buy, sell, refine, manipulate, import, export & deal in chemicals of any nature or kind whatsoever, organic or inorganic & in light & heavy chemicals, alkalies, sulphuric hydrochloric & other acids, tannis, perfumes, essences, scents & flavouring materials, fixatives, blender & aromatic chemicals of all types either Synthetic or natural origin.

3. To carry on the business of manufactures of & as dealers in & importers & distributors of chemicals & fine chemicals, required for & in the industries & relating to paid & varnish, photographic chemicals, pharmaceuticals, cosmetic chemical & chemicals required for Rubber, Plastic, Printing Paste & Paper Industries.

4. To buy, sell, supply, alter, refine, manipulate exchange, improve, prepare, manufacture, import, export, distribute place on the market or otherwise deal in dyes, plaster of paris, other plasters, salts, glues, gums, pigments, compounds, organic or mineral intermediates, laboratory re-agents & cosmetics.

5. To undertake & execute sole selling agencies & generally to act as representatives of manufactures of all or any of foregoing articles or commodities.
