History of Lohia Polyester Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 29th January 1987, under the Companies Act, 1956 in the State of Maharashtra at Bombay. The Comp. obtained the Certificate of Commencement of business on 26th May 1987. The Comp. commenced operations in the year 1991 with an installed capacity of 150 tpa of Texturised Twisted Yarn [TTYs] at its factory located at 141, 2A, Shrinathji Industrial Estate in Motaborsara Taluka, Mangrol Dist. Surat in the State of Gujarat.

The main objects of Comp. are : To carry on the business of manufacturing, ginning, preparing, combing, spinning, weaving, processing, purchasing, selling, distributing, importing, exporting & dealers in man-made fibre, textiles items. The Comp. was promoted by Lohia family of Bombay who have a good background in the field of textile & have been in the synthetic yarn business for almost a decade. The main promoters Mr.Pawan Kumar Lohia, Chairman & Managing Director who holds a Masters Degree in Commerce is well known in synthetic yarn industry.

The promoters first venture in the field commenced in 1982. They have promoted the following partnership firms namely M/s. Lohia and Lohia, M/s. Chesire Petro-Chem & M/s.Trade Centre.
