History of Motorol [Indias] Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1975 - The Comp. was incorporated on 25th June, as a public limited Comp. at Baroda.

- It manufactures Industrial oils like turbine oil, aluminium rolling oils, hydraulic oil, rubber process oil, glass mould oil, agricultural spray oil, vaccum pump oil, refrigeration oil, textile oil, gear oil, steam cylinder oil, SAE oil etc.

1988 - The Comp. succeeded in developing special ink oil with export substitution. The Comp. undertook to double the capacity of the plastic projects.

1989 - The plastic plants manufactured blow moulded containers/carboys.

1992 - The Comp. is setting up a project for manufacturing 10,000 MTPA of MOTOROL range of engine oils at a new site at Gavasad, near Baroda.

1997 - Motorola the launch of GSM StarTac 70 cellular phone in India.

- Motorola is introduced Pager Care, a paging service programme in Bangalore on the 16th of December.

1998 - Motorol [Indias] limited has entered into a joint venture with a Singapore-based US dollar two billion Comcraft group, to pull itself out of finacial crisis that it has been facing for past two years.

2000 - The Rs. 70-crore commercial paper programme of Motorola India Ltd [MILs] has been assigned the `P1+' rating taking into Acc. the financial strength of parent company, Motorola, & its support to MIL by way of guarantee of banking facilities.

- Motorola has launched the dual band T300 cell-phone.

2004

-Motorola Global Telecom Solutions Sector [GTSSs] has announced business wins of wireless equipment agreements worth over $307 million from Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd [BSNLs], Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd [MTNLs] & Tata Teleservices Ltd.
