History of Nayagara Paper Products Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1987 - The Comp. was incorporated as Nayagara Books Private Limited on 4th December. Later the Comp. was converted into a Public Limited Comp. on 27th May, 1992. It was promoted by K.V. Reddy, G.R. Reddy & KVR Reddy. The Comp. manufacture note books, printed books & undertakes printing activities.

1992 - The name of Comp. was changed to Nayagara Paper Products [Indias] Private Limited on 4th May.

1994 - The Comp. undertook a project for expansion & modernisation of existing capacity with a view to mechanising the binding activities by installations of Printools perfect binding machine.

- The capacity was to be increased to 10,800 TPA from 1200 TPA.

- 4,55,000 shares allotted to promoters, directors, etc. 37,32,300 No. of equity shares were then issued at par in 1993 of which 6,32,300 shares were reserved for allotment to promoters, Indian resident directors etc. & to co-promoters of APIDC limited Of the balance 3,00,000 No. of Equity shares each were reserved for allotment to NRIs on repatriation basis [only 1,67,800 shares taken up & to Mutual Funds [Only 1,93,400 shares taken ups]. Balance 25,00,000 shares along with unsubscribed portion of 2,87,200 shares from preferential basis were issued to public.

1995 - The Comp. has introduced stationery products under brand names 'Classmate' & 'Deskmate' to cater to the needs of students as well as office purpose.

2000 - The Comp. issue of 45,00,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 at par fully paid-up for consideration other than cash in the ratio of 125 shares of Nayagara Paper Products for every 100 shares of Nayagara Industries.
