History of Olympia Capitals Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 15th April, 1986 as Olympia Business Services Pvt. Ltd, in lhe state of Maharashtra, Bombay, subsequently it was converted into Public Limited Comp. by passing Special Resolution dated i 1 th April, 1992 & name of Comp. is also changed from Olympia Business Services limited to Olympia Capitals limited & fresh Certificate to this effect has been obtained from the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra at Bombay dated 27th May, 1992. The promoters of Comp. are Chartered Accountants having vast experience in various kinds of financial services. The Company, as per its object clause spelt out in the Memorandum has been formed to offer among others, various kinds of Financial Services & Merchant Banking Services.

The Comp. commenced its business operation in 1986 with syndication of working capital finance, Term Loan, bridge loans & financial consultancy as its core business. The same activities were continued till 1992 when the Comp. made foray into other related activities including Merchant banking, Bill Discounting & Investment. The capital base of Comp. was also increased to Rs.120 Lacs in the year 1992 to meet the requirement of its expanded business activities.

The Comp. obtained SEBI registration as a category-I Merchant Banker, on 15th April, 1993 & received a licence for Restricted Money Changers Activity from the RBI dated 26th November, 1993. The Comp. has also received membership approval in principle from the National Stock Exchange for carrying out the Capital Market Segment activities through a subsidiary company. The Comp. is in the process of incorporation of subsidiary Comp. to take up this activity.The Comp. to this date is closely held.
