- The Comp. was incorporated as a Private Limited Comp. on 4th May, in the state of Maharashtra under the name Orient Data Processors Private Limited. It was converted into a Public Limited Company.

1994

- The name of Comp. was changed to Orient Information Technology Limited The Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra, issued fresh Certificate of Incorporation on 6th December.

- The Comp. is promoted by Mr. Ketan Sheth who has experience in the Software industry for over ten years.

1995

- The Comp. has entered into a representation agreement with Finja Computers-Dubai for marketing its software packages & other consultancy services in the middle-east.

- The Comp. has also entered into an Memorandum of understanding with M/s. Finja Computers, Dubai for opening an export front office for the overseas operations.

- The Comp. came out with its maiden public issue of equity shares at par in August which was over subscribed by 42 times.

- The public issue of Comp. of 19,00,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 each for cash at par aggregating Rs. 190 lacs including 7,50,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 each for cash at par aggregating Rs. 75 lacs for firm allotment to NRIs and Indian mutual funds during August.
