HISTORY OF THE COMPANY

The Comp. was incorporated on November 15, 1991 as R.D.BUILDERS and DEVELOPERS LIMITED & it received certificate for Commenoement of Business on December 18, 1991. 1st name was changed to RDB Industries limited on 1st August, 1994.

The Comp. was incorporated with the main object of real estate development. The Comp. took over business of firm M/s. R.D.BUILDERS'as a going concern with effect from the close of 3Oth April, 1992. The Comp. has constructed various buildings in & around Calcutta.

In April, 1994, the Comp. had taken over the assets of New Tobacco Comp. on lease in terms of Hon'ble Calcutta High Court order dated 23rd February, 1994. The Comp. has started commercial production on May 31 st, 1994 at Agarpara, West Bengal factory & launched brands of Cigarettes namely REGENT, NUMBER TEN FILTER, NUMBER TEN VIRGINIA, COOL, PRINCE HENRY [Pipe Tobaccos], & REGENT MINI KINGS.

2003

-The Comp. has entered into an agreement with M./s Sampoerna Asia Pte Ltd.

2008

-RDB Industries Ltd has inducted Mr. Abhishek Rathi & Mr. Mahendra Pratap Singh on the Board of Comp. as additional directors w.e.f. March 18, 2008.

-RDB Industries Ltd has informed that the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, have awarded a tender in favour of Comp. for setting up Residential Complex at AIIMS Patna, the estimated value of which is Rs 30 crore [approxs].
