History of Rainbow Papers Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1986 - The Comp. was Incorporated on 4th July, & the Company name was changed to Rainbow Papers Private limited on 1st June 1989. Subsequently, the name of Comp. was changed into a public limited Comp. on 30th Jay, 1991.

- The Comp. was promoted by Radheshyam Goenka & Ajay Goenka. Set up a project with an installed capacity of 12,000 tpa of duplex boards. The Company object is to manufacture duplex board.

1991 - During December, the Comp. came out with a public issue of 18,00,000 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each for cash at par to part finance its project.

- 2,00,000 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each for cash at par allotted to promoters & 18,00,000 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each for cash at par allotted to the Indian public.

1993 - Orient Crepe Paper Industries limited was amalgamated with the Company.

- 24,69,250 No. of equity shares of Rs.10 each allotted to the shareholders of Orient Crepe Paper Industries limited in lieu of Amalgamation of said Company.

1994 - The Comp. has entered into a Power generation through wind mills by instaling two wind mills of 0.45 M.W. at Lamba in Jamnagar.

1995 - The Comp. has further installed Seven Wind Mills each of 90 KW making total capacity of 0.630 MW at Dhank in Rajkot.

1996 - The Comp. installed third paper machine at paper plant & also took production of manufacturing base paper for its Master Cote Division.

2002-Rainbow Papers Ltd has informed that Mr Kamlesh J Shah has resigned as Director & Comp. Secretary of Comp. with effect from October 31, 2002.Ms Runel Baldwa has been appointed as Comp. Secretary of Comp. with effect from October 31, 2002.
