History of Rammaica [Indias] Ltd.

Rammaica India Limited [RMILs] was originally incorporated on 31st March, 1981 as 'Ram Decorative and Industrial Laminates Limited' & obtained certificate of commencement of business on 1st May, 1981. The name of Comp. was changed to Rammaica [Indias] Limited & fresh Certificate was obtained on 13th July, 1992.

The Comp. has set up a plant at Plot No.F-9, MIDC Industrial Ares, Tarapur, Maharashtra with a capacity to manufacture 1500 tonnes per annum of Decorative Laminates of various designs & thickness. The plant was commissioned during 1984 & the products are marketed under the brand name 'RAMMAICA' & 'RAMOPAL'.

The in-house technology has been upgraded from time to time & the Company products are well accepted & its brand names well known in the market.

RMIL, w.e.f. April 1, 1993 has taken over the activities of its group company, Ramglas [Indias] Limited, engaged in the manufacturing & marketing of Decorative Fibre glass reinforced sheets under the brand name RAMGLAS.

The Comp. has bought the machinery for manufacturing reinforced fibreglass sheets from Ramglass [Indias] Limited at a cost of Rs.1.17 lacs. The machineries have been installed at Company site at Tarapur & production commenced since May 1993.

The Comp. belongs to the `RAMS GROUP OF COMPANIES' promoted by Mr Ramabtar Jhunjhunwala alongwith his family.
