History of Rams Transformers Ltd.

M/S Rams Transformers Limited was incorporated as a Private Limited Comp. on 30th May, 1989, under the Companies Act, 1956 & converted into a Public Limited Comp. by passing special resolution in its Extra-ordinary General Meeting held on 1.4.94 & obtained certificate from Registrars of Companies 27th April, 1994 with the main object of manufacturing & repairing of transformers. It has set up a plant which commenced commercial production in 1991 at Malanpur, Dist Bhind, M.P.

The Comp. is being managed by Board of Directors comprising of technocrats having experience in electrical industry, administration & finance.

The Comp. has completed four years of operation as on 31/03/94 & has been making profits from the very first year of its operations. Till date the Comp. has been concentrating more on repairing of Transformers & other job works & this has resulted in lower turnover & high profit margins. The Comp. is already an approved supplier of MPEB, Central Railways, Military Engineering Department, Department of Irrigation, besides others.

The Comp. is enjoying various credit facilities from MPFC and State Bank Of India, Gwalior aggregating to Rs.40.0O lacs.

The Comp. has never defaulted in meeting its' financial commitments & the conduct of Acc. with the Bank is also satisfactory.

The Comp. has undertaken the expansion of its transformer unit at a capital outlay of Rs.263.00 Lacs which will be partly funded by a term loan of Rs.153 Laos from IDBI. However during the course of implementation of expansion of the Transformer Unit the Comp. has also decided to go in for backward integration into manufacture of DPC/Enemelled wires & strips at a capital outlay of Rs.245.00 lacs, thus bringing the total of expansion cum backward integration to Rs.508.00 lacs which the Comp. is financing through a mix of increase in Share Capital, Internal Accruals & Term Loan from IDBI.
