History of Ranisagar Cement Comp. Ltd.

The Comp. was originally incorporated as a Private Limited Comp. on September 13, 1991, in the state of Rajasthan under the name of BSG Cement & Industries Pvt. limited Subsequently on 17.9.1993, it was converted into a Public Limited Company. The name of Comp. was changed into Ranisagar Cement Comp. Limited from 26.10.1993. The Company name has been changed to establish linkage with the brand name of product. The plot of land for proposed project was converted for industrial use in April 1993. Therefore, the Comp. could plan & begin commercial operations only in January 1994.

The Comp. is registered with District Industries Centre, Government of Rajasthan, vide registration No.170112253/dated 16.09.91.

The Comp. is implementing a project for expansion of its existing 75 tpd cement ginding unit to an integrated 200 tpd Portland Cement manufacturing unit employing the Vertical Shaft Kiln [VSKs] technology.

The Comp. is implementing a project to establish facilities for manufacture of 200 TPD of Portland Cement employing the VSK technology. The Comp. has already executed the Phase i of project which entailed estblishing a 75 TPD cement Grinding Unit at a cost of Rs 83 lacs. The commercial production has already commenced from this unit from March 1994 onwards. Presently, the unit purchases intermediate products from the market to produce cement. The Comp. is now undertaking the Phase II of project to estblish integrated facilities for manufacture of 200 TPD of Portland Cement. This would enable the Comp. to produce cement directly from the basic raw material i.e. limestone.
