History of Reliance Chemotex Industries Ltd.

Reliance Chemotex Industries Limited [RCILs], incorporated in 1977 under the Companies Act & was registered with the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra. The Comp. received its certificate of commencement of business on September 1, 1977 from the Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra. It shifted its registered office to Rajasthan vide the CLB Bench Order dated 15/12/79. RCIL is an existing, profit making, dividend paying company. The Comp. is engaged in the business of manufacture of blended polyester/viscose yarn. The manufacturing facilities are located in Village Kanpur, District Udaipur, Rajasthan.

The Comp. set up a plant for manufacture of synthetic blended yarn in 1977, with an installed capacity of 12,400 spindles. In 1982, the Comp. expanded its capacity to 16,320 spindles.

The Comp. is presently in the process of implementing a modernisation programme as well as expansion of capacity to 17,280 spindles. It is further planning to add another 4800 spindles to increase its capacity to 22,080 spindles.

- Reliance Chemotex Industries Ltd has informed that Mr. Rahul Shroff has been appointed as an Additional Director of Comp. with effect from July 28, 2008.
