The Comp. was incorporated on 11th July 1990 as Private Comp. with the object of setting up a small Scale Unit to manufacture Textile Auxilliaries.

The liberalisation of economy & the dismantiling [to a major extents] of industrial licencing requirements of Government induced the promoters to put up a larger project so as to achieve economies of scale as well as to compete in the export market. The Comp. started feasibility studies during the second half of 1991. The site was selected in April 1992. The Comp. was converted into a Public Limited Comp. on 22nd April, 1992. The name of Comp. was also changed to Rinku Polychem limited The promotes visited Japan for technical tie-up in May 1992. The Comp. approached Central Bank of India, in October 1992 for project appraisal. After that the Comp. started applying & obtaining various approvals & clearances.
