History of Rolcon Engineering Comp. Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 17th March, 1967 in Gujarat. It manufactures & sells all kinds of chains & components & other allied products.

The Comp. entered into a technical & financial collaboration agreement with Kohter and Bovenkamp of West Germany who agreed to supply the latest technical know how designs & manufacturing process.

During 1987, the Comp. entered into a technical collaboration agreement with a leading chain manufacturer Takasago Chain Co Ltd, Tokyo, Japan.

Commercial production of two wheeler chains commenced in November / December 1988. The 100% export oriented unit of Comp. was closed down on completion of 10 years period as stipulated by Governments.

With the change in the Government policy, it was decided to shift the plant from KAFTZ to Vallabh Vidyanagar.
