History of Rom Industries Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 29th August, 1974 at Bathinda in Punjab. It manufactures edible oil and non edible oils including activities like crushing oil seeds, solvent extraction and refining & marketing of finished products.

The Comp. installed a parallel brand new 150 TPD solvent extraction plant at a existing factory in Bathinda. The modernisation and expansion programme has been apparised by PSIDC Chandigarh. It is expected that the programme on completion shall result in upgradation of product quality & range besides resulting in higher turnover & increased profitablity.

The Comp. has successfully completed its expansion programme by setting up a Solvent Extraction Plant at RIICO Industrial Area, Hirawala, Jaipur with an installed capacity to process 300 TPD of Soyabeen/400 TPD of rape cake & vegetable unit refinery with an crystalled capacity of 80 TPD. Within a short span of terms this unit has achieved 60% capacity production. The Comp. has further diversified by setting up a Steel casting unit at Bhiwadi Rajasthan with an installed capacity of 4000 tonnes p.a. This project commenced its commercial production in the month of October 1992. In 1993-94 the Comp. has taken over as a going concern M/s. J K Oil Industries at Jammu, to whom the company brand of mustard oil has been franchised. The Comp. is also expanding the Jammu oil mill & installing a refinery. Previous name of Comp. was Roshanlal Oil Mills Ltd.

BRANDS OF THE COMPANY The company products are 'Policeman ' vegetable oil, 'Roshan' & 'Jumbo' mustard oil.
