History of TTK Healthcare Ltd.

The Comp. was incorporated on 21st May, 1958. In 1962, manufacture of ethical products commenced based on foreign know-how. The Comp. started with the manufacture of `Woodwords Gripe Water' in 1959. In 1974, a basic chemicals Division was started with the object of synthesising pharmaceutical intermediate and chemicals. In 1975, the Indian Medicine Division was established for manufacturing herbal products. In 1982 an Animal welfare division was set up for manufacture of formulations for veternary use. In 1985, company diversified into the manufacture of ready to cereal snack foods. The plant is located at Hosakote in Karnataka state & it is equipped to manufacture 10,000 metric tonnes per annum of cereal foods. The estimated cost of project was Rs 363 lakhs. The merger of TTK chemicals Ltd with this Comp. has been sanctioned by High Courts of Madras & Andhra Pradesh with retrospective effect from 1st June, 1988.
