Tainwala Chemicals and Plastic [Is] Ltd was incorporated on September 4, 1985 as a Private Limited Comp. & was converted into a Public Limited Comp. on March 4, 1986.

The Comp. has been promoted by Mr. Ramesh Tainwala.

The Comp. manufactures household consumer utility & personal care products like Mosquito Repellent & wet cleansing Tissues under the brand name of 'CASPER' & 'FRESH ONES'.

In 1990, the Comp. diversified into polyvinyl chloride [PVCs] sheets.

The Comp. entered into technical collaboration with Storelene AB of Sweden & Roussel Uclaf of France. The Comp. also entered into technical collaboration with M/s Cincinnati Micacron, Australia.

The modernisation & expansion program of Comp. involves the company expansion project of PVC sheet, extrusion line at Silvassa from 2000 MT to 4000 MT per annum. The Company expansion & modernisation of Personal care Division by introducing new range of household insecticides & automation of 'fresh ones'. The Comp. also plans to invest in equity of Tainwala Polycontainer Limited.

2002-Tainwala Chemicals and Plastics India Ltd has informed BSE that Ms Gita Bade has resigned as Comp. Secretary of Comp. with effect from December 07, 2002.
