History of Techno Electric and Engineering Comp. Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1963 - The Comp. was incorporated as a Private Limited Comp. in the name of Techno Electric Co. [Ps] limited on 18th September. The Comp. became a deemed Public Limited Comp. in 1973 by virtue of Section 43[As] of Companies Act, 1956. The Comp. is promoted by Mohankas of Jamshedpur.

- The Comp. is presently engaged in undertaking turnkey projects for Core Sector industries mainly in the Power Plants.

1973 - The name of Comp. was changed to Techno Electric and Engineering Comp. limited from Techno Electric Comp. Pvt. Ltd. on 6th September. The Comp. made public issue of its shares in 1980.

1995 - The Comp. has made significant progress in the execution of Cabling Package for 2nd Unit of Ib-Valley & for 500 MW Unit of Talcher STPP of NTPC.

- The Comp. has achieved a major break-through in bagging Prestigious contracts from Multi-national Companies like ABB, Rolls-Royce, CESC etc who are the front runners in setting up Power plants under the liberalised policy of Government of India for encouraging investments in Power sector through Private Sector.

- The Comp. has participated in many prestigious tenders for Public/Private Sector & some of them are likely to be finalised shortly in company favour.

1998 - The Comp. proposes to upgrade its design & engineering facilities at project Engineering office & shall also be purchasing additional welding/construction machines to facilitate execution of jobs at various project sites.

- The major power consuming industries are actively taking steps to set up captive power plants & the Comp. is receiving good enquiries in this Sector.

1999 - The Comp. has an approved Gratuity Fund for Officers and Employees of Company.

- The Comp. has successfully completed its Rights Issue of 13,19,200 Equity Shares of Rs. 10/- each at a premium of Rs. 30/- per share in the ratio of 1:1.

2008

- Techno Electric and Engineering Comp. Ltd has appointed Shri. Vivek Chhachhi as Director of Comp. by Board of Directors.

2009

- Techno Electric and Engineering Comp. Ltd has informed that Shri. Samarendra Nath Roy has been appointed as Director of Comp. by Board of Directors.
