OBJECTS and ACTIVITIES:- -------------------- Manufacture & marketing of electronic test & measurement equipment. PROMOTION and INCORPORATION:- ------------------------- The Comp. was incorporated on 4th February, 1985 as a private limited Comp. under the manufacture of ' Hinditron Instruments Pvt. Ltd.' It was promoted by Hinditron Group of companies in collaboration with Tektronix Inc., U.S.A. OPERATION:- --------- During 1987-88, production of electronic test & measuring instruments & digital multimeters amounted to 271 pcs. & 226 pcs. respectively. Turnover for year amounted to Rs. 214 lakhs. In 1988-89, while production of electronic test & measuring instruments improved to 384 pcs. that of digital multimeters declined to 125 pcs. Turnover at Rs. 209.11 lakhs was also lower compared to the previous year. In 1989-90, the overall performance improved substantially. Turnover increased to Rs 444.36 lakhs representing an increase of 112 percent when compared to the previous year. The initial launch of 2400 series of oscilloscopes was successful in the market & 6 more new products of real-time & digital storage oscilloscopes were introduced. In 1990-91, turnover increased to Rs. 992.53 lakhs representing an increase of 123.36 percent when compared to the previous period. In 1991-92, turnover at Rs. 960.26 lakhs remained almost same as at the previous year while exports stood at Rs. 70.29 lakhs. But for various factors such as slow growth in business, high inflation, higher cost for imported inputs, etc., that affected adversely the performance of company. EXPANSION:- --------- The Comp. undertook to set up a new, larger facility in phase-II of Peenya Industrial Area, close to the existing location. Land measuring 5 acres was acquired & civil construction commenced. The Comp. proposed to manufacture other high technology products having higher band widths, newer techniques & wider applications. The manufacturing operations were shifted to the new facility & commercial production commenced on a partial basis. During 1991.92, the Comp. established 100 percent EOU at SEEPZ for implementing its project for export of software.

2001 - Tektronix announced the launch of new optical module that is the industry first solution to address the latest complince requirements for eye pattern ltesting as specified under the International Telecommunications Union.
