History of Tips Industries Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1988 - The Comp. was established as a Partnership Firm on 7th March, in the name of Tips Cassettes and Record Co.; & was converted into a Private Limited Company on 8th May, 1996 & further it became a Deemed Public Limited Comp. w.e.f. 1st July, 1999. The principal promoters of Comp. are the Taurani family.

- The Main Object of Comp. is to carry on the business as manufactureres, sellers, distributors, dealers, buyers, importes, exporters of audio & video cassettes, records, compact discs, laser discs etc.

1990 - The Comp. set up its first manufacturing facility at Palghar, Mayharashtra.

1992 - M/s. R.K. Electronics was dissolved & merged with the partnership firm M/s. Tips Cassettes & Records Company.

1996 - The Comp. was converted into a joint stock Comp. under Chapter IX of the Companies Act, 1956 on 8th May & rechristened as Tips Industries Private Limited.

1997 - Tips commissioned the second manufacturing facility for blank & pre recorded audio cassettes at Silvassa.

1999 - The Comp. acquired the audio rights held by Video Master, Time Magnetics [Indias] Limited & Weston Components Limited.

2000 - The Comp. acquired audio rights held by Mr. Jawaharlal Chopra.

- Tips Industries limited the leading music Comp. is entering the capital market in first week of September with an initial public offer of 30,00,000 No. of equity shares of face value Rs. 10/- each.

- Tips Industires, has entered the south Indian film music market.

- The Comp. has signed a three-year exclusive licensing deal with the global music conglomerate, Warner Electra Atlantic International Inc, US. 2002
