History of CDR Health Care Ltd.

YEAR EVENTS 1986 - The Comp. was incorporated on 20th November, as a public Limited Company in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The Comp. has been promoted by Dr. C. Dayakar Reddy, his wife C Jayasree & their associates.

- The main objects of Comp. are embodied in the Memorandum & Articles of Association & interalia include setting up of hospitals & carry on the business of designs, construction and running of all kind of hospitals dispensaries, clinics, laborataries, health clubs & health Insurance Scheme.

- The Comp. has to set up a 150 bed multispeciality hospital under the name of CDR Hospitals at a prime location in Hyderabad.

1987 - The Comp. started a LITHOTRIPSY CENTRE at New Delhi to treat kidney stones without surgery & anaesthesia.

- The Comp. has many computerised and advanced equipments like colour Doppler, computerised stress Test, Video Endoscope, computerised Analysers Extra corporeal Lithotripter etc. The majority of medical facilities are functional.

1991 - During the last quarter of year, the Hospital has become fully operational & opened up all major departments such as Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Paediatrics, IVF etc.

- The hospital had the privilege of offering services of 1.0 Tesler Super Conductive Magnetic Resonance Imaging system for first time in the State.

- The hospital has provided consultancy services for setting up of Diagnostic centres and hospitals at Vizag & Delhi. It has also successfully started kidney transplants programme. It is also entering into manufacturing & marketing of medial equipments, Imaging products & other related items.

- Owing to General Elections, Communal & other disturbances & Bandh call given by various political & non-political organizations, the operations of Comp. were adversely effected.

1992 - The Comp. has started a dedicated childrens hospital under the name & style of 'CDR Hospitals for Children' which caters from the just born to children aged 12 years. This is the first integrated, dedicated, all under one roof facility hospital for children in the state.

1993 - The paid-up share capital includes Rs.9,75,000 [97,500 shares of Rs.10 eachs] and Rs.9,50,000 [95,000 shares of Rs.10 eachs] allotted to M/s SIDDARTHA CONSULTANCY SERVICES PVT LTD & M/s SIDDARTHA MEDICARE PVT LTD respectively which were issued as fully paid up in consideration of cost of land acquired from them. The Comp. also allotted 91,200 equity shares of Rs.10 each to RCTC according to the terms & conditions specified in the loan agreement.

1995 - During the year the Hospital has concentrated in critical care services & has increased the bed strength from 195 to 247, mostly in critical care areas.

- The Comp. has also upgraded the existing Nursing Home at Gagan Mahal into a speciality Hospital for Women & the necessary equipment has been ordered.

1998 - The Hospital has been recommended for ISO 9002 by TUV, Germany through Secunderabad Centre is the first ISO 9002 Hospital in the State.

1999 - The Comp. has launched various corporate Health Plans in the current year to achieve higher turnover. The Comp. has also started Janani - IVF Test Tube Baby & made significant progress in this behalf during the current year.

- During the year IDBI & IFCI have withdrawn Sri Jayant Mulay & Sri Sagi Rama Krishna from the Board of Company. Sri Vijay Maheshwari resigned from the Board during the year under reference.

2000 - The CDR Hospitals has become the first multi-speciality corporate hospital in Andhra Pradesh to get accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing & Calibration Laboratories for its clinical laboratories.

2001 - Hyderabad-based healthcare services provider, CDR Hospitals group has developed a PC-based Web-enabled diagnostic equipment to facilitate speedy diagnosis of ailment even from a remote villages.

- CDR Hospitals has developed a new telemedicine model for emergency care called eEmCare, to render cost-effective & better medical services to people in remote areas on real-time basis.
